Apparently, Mr. Osama appeared on TV again. Oh, he and his mouthful of swearing words and curses against the US. *Rolls eyes* I mean how is he suppose to intimidate the US with his greying beard and so-co-incidental timing? I wonder if he trying to help Bush win, since Bush is always the one taking a strong stand against terrorism? Hmmm....

Countdown: 4 more days to US election. (Kerry or Bush? I love Edward)

Will like to express my views about people that I have seem to observed. The world seems to be filled with people who like to express their very pessimistic talk, influencing those around them to feel down. Seldom would one comment good things about your actions or work but more often, your bad stuff will go around faster than the good things. It is probably true that humans can never make any mistakes. You will be condemned for the rest of your lives. Look at the yellow ribbon campaign. Why do they need such a campaign for the ex-prison inmantes? The simple reason is that our society is structured in such a way that a wrong act will make you the 'undesirable' of the society. Bosses will prefer not to employ a ex-pickpocket. In schools, it is to some extent true that this happens. Take for example, once you are deemed the naughty student in a teacher's eyes, they will keep picking on you to answer questions till you get irritated. ( I think Sam and Lala will agree with me!)

- oh, me and my society theory-

Democracy. Yes, supposedly the best governing system of the 20th century. Those democratic elections are like being conducted in almost every country like in Singapore. Elections are the 'best' (?!) way to decide the government for a country. It is based on the popularity and support that a certain party can gain from the masses so that they can govern the country. Yet take a look at America and Taiwan. Taiwan just held their presidential elections in May. The Blue and Green Party rallied for support like 2 fierce beggers asking for votes so that only one of them can officially be the ruling person of the country. And Mr Chen Shui Bian was voted, with more than half of the country unhappy with the results. There were weeks of riots, chaos opposing his ruling. Taiwan is divided into 2, pro Mr Chen and anti Mr Chen. The democratic elections is no longer a very useful tool to decide the ruler of the country. Look at America, if any of the presidential candidate was to lose the election, half of the country will not be willing to give their 100% support for the leader. Regardless of the election results which will be out really soon in Nov, the crack that seperates the pro-Bush and pro-Kerry Americans has caused a long lasting effect on the society of US.

- So who was the foolish one who came up with those silly elections? Isn't it us, the humans? How ironic-

To start off, I just think at times, people do try really hard at things. They do all their best at certain areas, certain aspects that maybe they don't excel in. They put in 100% effort in it, you try and you try to strive for the better. You practise so hard, so much but nothing comes out of it. It gets very tiring to be forever holding onto the rope, inching your tiny step up but sliding down every second. You tell yourself: Come on, you can do it! But things just turn out screwed. Its not that no effort was put in, but..but..no visible results were seen. You get tired, you are sick of trying. People around encourage you to perservere, yet your heart is just sickened by the setbacks that you faced.

-What a loser's speech. Drats.-

Bored to death. So let me talk crap.

I was just telling XinYi today that I like to eat the stem of the vegetables because the worms do not enjoy eating those areas. Although its less sweet than the leaves, but its so crunchy YUmmy~*

If I were to set a practical test, I will make all those teachers run. Imagine them panting all the way. I think only Ms Yong and Ms Tan will be still standing fit at the end of the race.

Examining the cabinet ministers that Indonesia's president has chosen, I doubt that Indonesia can flourish. 1/2 of the ministers are made up of members that have to be chosen to appease the opposition and not based on their capabilities. So, how do you even expect Indonesia to prosper as it used to be? Well, unless if there is a coup or perhaps I should just take TigerAirways to Indonesia and stage a revolt against the government and set up MY GOVERNMENT in Indonesia. Hmmm... President Jie Yi for Indonesia? Feasible idea. LIke real.

Ok, firstly to say, I am just kind of missing out on the last-day-school-kind-of-stuff. Been sick for like the past 3 days, today is like the recuperating day. So tired for the rest of the week with this dampening spirit. Well, this bout of illness has been plaguing me for a week and that it just lingers around my nose, my head and have been sticking onto me like this death devil. Its not that I enjoy complaining, but I really hate to be sick. Would pay any amount to keep myself healthy and anyway, if anyone has any medcine or home rememdy to cure hives, please share it with me. I have been having hives for like a month. Sometimes, it just sprouts out of my hands like tiny little maps mapping around my arms, my neck. EWWWWW..... Well, if you do not know what is a hive this is the explanation that some medical website gives:

"Hives are a sign that the whole body is experiencing a hypersensitivity reaction. Hives occur when the body's capillaries and tiny veins get leaky. Fluid escaping from some of these blood vessels becomes trapped in parts of the skin and lining membranes of the body, causing localized swelling."

So for now, I will just continue to scratch and scratch.

Just a small poem to share with you all:
When I was young and free and my imagination had no limits,
I dreamed of changing the world;
As I grew older and wiser,
I realized the world would not change.
And I decided to shorten my sights somewhat,
and change only my country.
But it seemed immovable.
As I entered my twilight years,
in one last desperate attempt,
I sought to change only my family, those closest to me,
but alas they would have none of it.
And now, here I lie on my death bed
and realize(perhaps for the first time) that if only I'd changed myself first,
then by example,
I may have influenced my family and with their encouragement and support,
I many have bettered my country,
and who knows I many have changed the world.
Adapted from "The 7 habits of highly effective teens"
Well, this just goes out to show, perhaps it just time for all of us to attain some type of self-actualisation that the world doesn't just revolves around us. Maybe things that happen to us is due to our own perception about things. Maybe its just time we change our views about certain things that have once restrain us and people around us is just not that bad after all. To encourage those who are afraid to try out again for O levels ( due to the lousy prelim marks like me), it is just about time that we should do our best again and not regret only when we are at our death beds. =)

Just read a book recently, and realised that a line in the book really made sense. Shall share with everyone now.

" Yes sir, a clown," he said. "There ain't one thing in this world i can do about folks except laugh, so I'm gonna join the circus and laugh my head off."
" You got it backwards, Dill," said Jem. "Clowns are sad, it's folks that laugh at them."

I cannot really understand why are there racial differences. The only difference I see between the blacks and the whites are just that they have different DNA in their different genes, hence having different pigmentation in their skin. So why does racial sentiments dig so deep into the minds of Americans. America's presidential elections will be held soon in November. The astonishing news that I heard was that American's are basically seperated into 2 different voting groups. One supports the republicans(Bush), the other the democrats(Kerry). Yet the democrats' supporters are mainly the Blacks and the other racial groups, whilst the republicans' suppoters are made up of mainly the whites.

What right does the white have over the blacks? Is it because the blacks were once slaves for them? But that was like centuries ago before Lincoln liberated them. The irrationality of adult attitudes to race and class makes me wonder: What spurs them to bear such tremendous grudge over the blacks that can last for more than 40 over years?

No Amercian president (who always happened to be of white skin) have ever bothered to tackle this problem and it really infuriates me. Maybe that is why I have never thought that white symbolises purity and cleanliness, it just seem to be more sinister and darker than the deep oceans beds. That is also the reason why I like white, because it is more than what the others perceive. Well, maybe, I am just the freak of the world that thinks differently from what the others do. Dah...
